Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital shortlisted for data quality award

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital has been shortlisted for the Top Hospitals data quality independent award for its commitment to ensuring the quality of its data is of the highest standard possible.

The data quality award recognises the importance of clinical coding and data quality and the essential roles they play in ensuring appropriate patient care.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital was shortlisted following an evaluation of depth of coding, percentage of uncoded spells and percentage of coded episodes with signs and symptoms as a primary diagnosis.

This award forms part of the CHKS annual Top Hospitals awards 2016, which recognises and celebrates the success of healthcare providers and are awarded to healthcare organisations for their outstanding achievements in healthcare quality, improvement and their focus on providing the best patient experience.

CHKS uses over 25 years of experience in the analysis of hospital data to decide the indicators on which each of the Top Hospitals awards are judged. Awards are made on the basis of an analysis of publicly available datasets and every NHS acute trust in England is included.
