Officers investigate serious collision in Torquay
Police are appealing for witnesses to a single-vehicle collision in Torquay, which left a man seriously injured.
A Citroen Saxo was in collision with a stone gatepost on Lower Warberry Road at 12.35am on Saturday (6 April).
The driver, who was the only person in the car, sustained serious chest and spinal injuries and was taken to Torbay Hospital. The 47-year-old man from Torquay was later transferred to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the Saxo travelling from the direction of Babbacombe Road at the time.
