Otterton Mill is to feature in the brand new series of BBC Two's Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip.

The show, which airs next Monday (4 November), follows celebrity couple Phil Vickery and Fern Britton, as they scour Devon antique shops for treasures that will make them a profit.

The ancient Mill played host to TV cameras earlier this year, when it provided a stop-off point for Phil and antiques expert James Braxton.

The pair spent several hours at the Mill, learning first how to grind flour using the mill's ancient waterwheel, under the tutelage of Head Miller Brian Hart. They then used the flour to make bread with the guidance of Baker Zac Laverick, before being treated to one of the Mill's famous cream teas.

The episode featuring Otterton Mill will kick off the new series on Monday 4 November at 7pm, and sees Phil and his wife Fern competing against each other to make the biggest profit as they buy and sell antiques. All proceeds are going to Children in Need.

Otterton Mill has featured in a number of television programmes over the past few years, including ITV's The Hungry Sailors featuring Dick Strawbridge, BBC's ‘Escape to the Country', BBC South West's 'Spotlight' in a feature about the Mill's volunteer millers; CITV's 'Farm Camp' which followed a group of children who swapped their city lives for country living as they discovered where their food comes from; and Channel 4's Time Team during an archaelogical dig at the nearby Dotton Mill.
