Overnight closures on M5 J29 slip roads and eastbound A30

South West Highways will be closing the A30 eastbound from Moor Lane Roundabout to the intersection of the M5 south bound exit slip on the nights (8.00pm – 06.00am) of Wednesday 7, Thursday 8 and Friday 9 November.

The work requires the following road closures:

• The A30 eastbound will be closed from Moor Lane Roundabout to the M5 southbound off slip intersection.
• The M5 Junction 29 northbound on slip will be closed.
• The J29 northbound off slip will be closed.

These closures will necessitate the following diversion routes:

For A30 eastbound traffic, the diversion will be from Moor Lane Roundabout via Moor Lane, Moto Roundabout, Sandygate Roundabout, A376, A3052, Half Way Inn, B3180 to Daisymount Junction.

On the B3180 approach to the Daisymount Junction there will be signage directing Exeter Airport-bound traffic west along the A30. The diversion route will be symbolised with a solid square.

Traffic wishing to join the M5 northbound at J29 will follow the diversion above from Moor Lane Roundabout to Sandygate Roundabout and then join the M5.The diversion route will be symbolised with a solid diamond.

For M5 northbound traffic wishing to take the J29 northbound off slip for the A30 there will be advisory signage prior to Junction 30, to exit at J30 and follow directional signage or follow the eastbound diversion given above. The diversion route will be symbolised with a solid square.

M5 northbound traffic which misses the advisory signage prior to J30, will continue to J28, leave at J28 and return southbound to J29 and take the southbound off slip to go either east or west on the A30.

There will be access through the works in an emergency for emergency services only and this will be supervised by a sentry at the beginning of the closure at Moor Lane Roundabout.
