Overnight resurfacing planned on major route into Exeter

Overnight closures will be in place on a major route into Exeter starting later this month (March).

Essential resurfacing will get underway on the A3015 Honiton Road/Moor Lane roundabout on the night of Monday 16 March and will continue with night-time working until Friday 17 April.

Closures will be carried out on weekday evenings from 7pm-6am. In order to minimise disruption, part of the roundabout will remain open to traffic at all times during the overnight work.

There will also be no weekend closures, and the roundabout will be open as normal on the evening of Friday 3 April.

Signed diversions will be in place, but the diversion will change during the first week of the scheme.

On the evenings of Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 March, the roundabout will be closed at Ambassador Drive and Honiton Road. However, access to Moor Lane will be possible for traffic coming from the A30/Junction 29 of M5. The signed diversion will be via Moor Lane, Sidmouth Road, A379, A3015 Rydon Lane and vice versa

Overnight on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 March access from the roundabout into Moor Lane will be closed, but traffic will be able to travel from the A30/Junction 29 M5 to Honiton Road and Ambassador Drive. The diversion route will be via A3015, Hill Barton Road, B3181, Cumberland Way, Ambassador Drive and vice versa

From the night of Friday 20 March until the end of the scheme the closure will revert to the same as the first two evenings where the roundabout will be closed at Ambassador Drive and Honiton Road. Access will be possible coming from the A30/Junction 29 of M5 to Moor Lane. Diversion via Moor lane, Sidmouth Road, A379, A3015 Rydon Lane, Hill Barton Road, B3181, Cumberland Way, Ambassador Drive and vice versa

The scheme will also involve the repair of any damaged utility covers and gullies, drain cleaning and maintenance of highway signs and verges.
