On 14th June, at a memorable Gala Awards Ceremony, the winners of the BestUKVets Awards 2023 were announced with PAWS IN PEACE being named Best Mobile Vets and Best Vets in Devon. In front of an audience of over 150 veterinary professionals in London, Paws in Peace scooped the accolade having gathered outstanding feedback from pet owner clients.
The BestUKVets Awards celebrate vet practices that delight their clients and are presented to practices across the UK with the most 4 or 5 star online reviews in each category. In order to select the winners, Awards organisers analyse over 15,500 reviews left by pet owners on vet practice websites throughout the year. Every vet practice in the UK is eligible and already registered via their listing on any-uk-vet.co.uk and VetHelpDirect.com and around half get involved.
Paws in Peace is a bespoke at home pet euthanasia service in Devon and Somerset run by local vet, Kate Fairclough. The Awards reflect her dedication to customer service and outstanding care, with Paws in Peace receiving all five star reviews.
Comments left by grateful clients include:
“Kate is a very special vet, being someone who cares deeply and totally understands the depth of love we have for our pets; who embodies peace and quiet calm along with experience and consummate skills, to provide the very best care when it is most needed in the lives of our pets and ourselves”
“Kate produced treats for my cat, stroked him and showed him so much compassion. She turned a horrible, heartbreaking moment into something else, we sat and gently stroked my boy whilst he peacefully fell asleep for the last time. I can’t recommend Kate enough, she was professional, compassionate, reassuring and just simply amazing. I would highly recommend her”
“Kate was kind, professional and compassionate when she came to our house to see our beautiful dog, I was able to hold her in my arms in her own surroundings while she slipped off to sleep. I will be forever grateful for that precious time”
Kate from Paws in Peace is thrilled with the result and commented:
“ I am proud and humbled to receive these awards. I would like to thank everyone, who in spite of needing us at such a sad time, has taken the time to leave such heartfelt reviews.
It is an honour and a privilege to be able to help pets and their owners at such a difficult time, if we can make this time peaceful, calm and stress-free then we have achieved our aim”
Susie Samuel, CEO of VetHelpDirect, explains: “The BestUKVets Awards were established 11 years ago to reward vet practices that delight their pet owning clients. We are so pleased that this practice has been recognised and local pet owners should be reassured that their pets are in very safe hands!”
