Prestigious event to be first of its kind in the South West
A prestigious interior design event, the first of its kind to be held in the south west, will take place this month.
Design Central south west will be held at Rockbeare Manor, just outside Exeter on March 26 and 27.
The grade I listed venue, which dates back to around 1760, will host the two-day, trade only event which aims to put some of the UK’s best suppliers in front of interior designers from the region.
Director at Rockbeare Manor, Aimée Spencer said: ‘At Rockbeare we are probably best known as an exclusive wedding and private events venue, so Design Central is a real contrast to this, and something that we are looking forward to immensely. We can’t wait to see such beautiful products on display within the Manor and we are so pleased to have been chosen as the ideal venue for Design Central south west.’
Over 25 well known suppliers, such as Clarke and Clarke, Cole and Sons, Ian Sanderson and Style Library, will come to Rockbeare to exhibit over 40 brands with many new collections. Visitors will be able to view fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, flooring and lighting at the event and place orders.
Owner of Design Central, Cath McCubbin, who set up the company after realising that interior designers such as herself were always having to travel to London to view collections, says:
‘Having held the event in the north west for two years now, we felt it was time to add another venue to our portfolio, and Rockbeare Manor represents the ideal place for designers from all over the south west to come and view these beautiful new collections.’
Design Central is open to trade visitors only, and takes place on 26 and 27 March. To find out more, go to: www.designcentraluk.com/southwest-show.
