Princess Anne to visit Devon County Show
HRH The Princess Royal will attend the opening day of the Devon County Show on Thursday, May 21.
It will be Princess Anne’s first visit to the Devon County Show at Westpoint, Exeter; she visited the former showground at Whipton in the city in 1985.
During her visit she will be accompanied by David Parish, President of the Devon County Agricultural Association.
He said: “Her Royal Highness is a great champion for farming and rural issues just as the Devon County Show is also a terrific showcase for farming and rural life.”
The 120th Devon County Show takes place on May 21-23 and is the first major agricultural event of the year in the South West.
More than 95,000 visitors are expected for what promises to be an entertaining and informative event celebrating Devon food, farming and country life.
Attractions will include:
- Magnificent animals of all shapes and sizes – even bees!
- Delicious local food and drink – to eat and bring home
- Non-stop entertainment including the Bolddog Lings motocross display team
- A shopaholics’ paradise with outlets spanning 4 x 4s to country clothing to hot tubs and pots and pans
