Princesshay polar bears rehomed at hospital
The illuminated polar bears that have appeared in Princesshay for the last four festive seasons have been donated to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
The bears, named Hope and Clarence, have now taken up residence outside of the RD&E after Princesshay donated them following a new lighting scheme being commissioned this year.
Wayne Pearce, Princesshay Centre Director said from Princesshay said: “The bears were very loved, so we really wanted them to stay in the city when we introduced our new Christmas lighting scheme. We hope they bring a little Christmas sparkle and cheer to patients and their families visiting the hospital over the festive period.”
David Thomas, Interim Chief Nurse at the RD&E said: “We are really grateful to Princesshay for their donation of the polar bears to the RD&E. They look fantastic and will bring some festive cheer to patients, families and staff who spend time here over the holidays.”
