The RD&E launches new People’s Choice Awards
Members of the public are invited to nominate and vote for their outstanding RD&E heroes in the brand new People’s Choice Awards.
Patients, staff and members of the public can nominate and then vote for any member of staff at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust who they feel has provided exceptional service, care, or made a difference, no matter their role.
The RD&E already has an extremely successful awards scheme where patients can nominate staff for the Excellent Care award, however the new People’s Choice Awards allows a much wider audience to get involved for the first time and celebrate the work that staff do each day.
Staff who demonstrate the Trust’s special qualities of care and compassion, teamwork and continuous improvement, can be nominated for one of the following awards:
People’s Clinical award; to celebrate clinical staff who have provided outstanding care and made a difference to patients, carers or colleagues.
People’s Non-clinical award; to celebrate non-clinical staff whose work has made a real difference to patients, carers or colleagues.
People’s Team award; to recognise a team who work well together to make improvements and overcome challenges.
People’s Innovation award; for people who are leading the way in innovation and making a significant difference to patients, carers or the Trust.
Winners will be celebrated at a special awards ceremony in June.
Suzanne Tracey, Chief Executive at the RD&E, said: “We are very excited to open the nominations for the first People’s Choice awards. These annual awards are very special in that they allow members of the public to nominate and vote for who they feel most deserves the awards. We’re extremely proud of all of our members of staff and this will highlight the amazing work which is carried out each day.”
Nominations open on Wednesday 20 March and close on Friday 12 April. Voting for winners will begin on Monday 13 May and close on Sunday 6 June.
