Recruitment open day for registered nurses
Registered Nurses are being offered the opportunity to find out more about what it’s like to work at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust at a recruitment open day on Saturday 8th November.
The event, which takes place between 9.30am – 3pm in the Research, Innovation, Learning and Development (RILD) building on the Wonford site, will give prospective employees the chance to learn more about the Trust and the opportunities on offer.
The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to over 400,000 people in Exeter and East and Mid Devon, and is recognised nationally and internationally for excellence in a number of specialist fields.
During the open day, there will be talks from current members of nursing staff about their experiences working at the RD&E, as well as guided tours of the hospital. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to be interviewed for a job on the day and could potentially receive a conditional offer of employment.
Registered Nurse Polly Jordan, 25 from Crediton, has just started working for the RD&E’s Dermatology department after graduating from Plymouth University in September. Polly was attracted to the RD&E because it offered her the chance to work in a specialised area and further her career prospects.
“I’ve been really enjoying the whole experience so far, everything from getting my nursing pin to becoming registered, and everyone has been really welcoming” said Polly. “Also, there’s no limit to progressing in your career here – there’s lots of opportunities to develop and prospects to start working up salary bands when I’m ready. Working at the RD&E has given me lots of career options.”
If you are interested in joining Polly as a registered Nurse at the RD&E, then come along to the open day on Saturday 8th November, 9.30am – 3pm, in the RILD building, and find out how you could fit in. Please bring ID and proof of NMC registration. Any queries please contact Claire Gaston on 01392 403908.
