Road safety awareness event

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service are taking part in the Crediton Road Traffic Event on Saturday 28 November, working alongside the Police, HART ambulance team and the Honest Truth team. 

Everyone is welcome.

The event runs from 11.30am to 13.30pm at Crediton Leisure centre. There will be presentations on the dangers of speeding, driving while texting, or on the phone, as well as driving under the influence of drink and/or drugs. The talks will be followed by a free lunch.

Then the Fire Service will be demonstrating the ‘Jaws of Life’ working alongside the Hart ambulance team. Showing how they respond after a road traffic collision, to release a person trapped in a vehicle. This will include removing the roof as well as the person.
