Scrap Trident Meeting with Bruce Kent

When Exeter CND arranged this public meeting, at which Bruce Kent will speak, we invited Devon's MPs to come and debate with him. Unfortunately none could make it so we asked the main local political parties to send representatives to the debate. After all, the three main parties all officially support Britain's nuclear weapons programme, i.e Trident or some variant.

Unlike the MPs none of the parties has responded, not even to refuse to debate with us. As suuport for Trident is now a minority viewpoint in the UK one might expect that those who consider the system to be so vital to our welfare would be keen to come and argue their corner.

There's still time! The meeting is at 7.15pm today, Wednesday 3 April, at Exeter Community Centre, St Davids Hill.
