Always wanted to sing in a gospel choir? Now’s your chance, you can take part in a gospel workshop and concert in Exeter on Saturday June 17.

Sing Gospel, which is a BBC Gospel Choir of the Year finalist, is coming to the city for an all-day workshop where you’ll have lots of fun, and then go on to perform at an evening concert. Choir director Josh Cadman is one of the country’s leading gospel tutors and believes everyone can sing.

He said: “Sing Gospel is for everyone. Those who think they can’t sing soon realise that enthusiasm is more important and singing with others soon builds their confidence.  You don’t need any experience of choral singing to come along.”

This is a fundraising event being organised by Choices Pregnancy Centre, an Exeter charity supporting pregnancy difficulties and baby loss.

Choices manager, Sue Sharp said: “This is a fabulous opportunity to take part in something really special. We are very excited that Josh is leading this workshop, recently his choir sang for Whoopi Goldberg and we all remember the fun she had in Sister Act as a sassy singing nun. Come along and sing like Whoopi!”

Also, joining in the Exeter evening concert is MamaSing from Woodbury, a singing group for parents. The workshop costs £30 and is being held at Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street on Saturday June 17, from 9.30am - 4.30pm, with a short concert at 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

Invite your family and friends to watch you perform at the concert, tickets cost £5, under 14s free. Book now: www.tickets.singgospel.co.uk.
