Stagecoach South West confirms timetables changes
Local bus operator Stagecoach South West announces improvements to its bus network across Devon from 20 April 2025. Working in partnership with Devon County Council, and funded by Bus Service Improvement Plan funding from the Department for Transport, customers across Devon will benefit from more frequent bus services. For customers travelling within Exeter, there will be more buses to Alphington, Exwick, Pennsylvania and Wonford. Outside of Exeter, Appledore, Bideford, Dawlish, Newton Abbot and Tiverton are amongst the areas that will also benefit from more frequent buses.
The operator will also be making a number of changes to timetables to improve the reliability and punctuality of their services.
Customers are encouraged to visit Bus Timetables in the South West to view the new timetables before travelling.
Peter Knight, Managing Director of Stagecoach South West said ‘We’re excited to launch our new timetables from 20 April 2025 across Devon. There are many improvements to the network in both Exeter and beyond, touching many of our market towns around the county. We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Devon County Council to deliver these improvements through the Bus Service Improvement Plan and our DevonBus Enhanced Partnership. We know that customers value frequency of service together with reliable and punctual services and we’ve worked hard to ensure that these timetables reflect ever changing journey patterns and travel habits to ensure they are tailored for current levels of travel demand across the bus network’.
Changes to the network are summarised below:
Service A (Alphington to City Centre / Pennsylvania)
Sunday and Public Holiday frequency will be doubled from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during the main part of the day, providing twice as many journey opportunities.
