Still time to sign up for Sunday’s Santa spectacular
There’s still time to sign up for the fantastic city centre Santa Run - ensuring you kick off the festive season in style.
Organised by Exeter City Community Trust, the run, which covers 5k or 2.5k, is the perfect family event and a real seasonal spectacle, with hundreds of Santas of all ages taking over Exeter High Street. And it all takes place this Sunday <DEC 4>.
The first runners set off at 9am and you can run or walk for fun, for a charity of your choice, or you can raise money for Exeter City Community Trust and support our work in the community.
Jamie Vittles, chief executive of Exeter City Community Trust, said: “The Santa Run is the ideal way to mark the start of the festive season. It’s an amazing sight to see and an even better event to be part of.
“We’re very grateful to our main sponsors, Tozers Law, and our event partners, Exeter Live Better, Stagecoach, HSBC and Radio Exe whose support enables us to stage this event and helps us to raise funds for our work across Greater Exeter.”
Jamie added: “This year, we’re inviting our runners to raise a minimum of £10 for Exeter City Community Trust to help us continue our vital work in the community. This is not a condition of entry, but we’d be grateful if entrants would consider raising funds for our charity. All you need to do is create a Just Giving page and start raising money – all the information can be found on our website.”
As well as supporting Exeter City Community Trust, runners can choose to raise funds for charities of their choice, or this year’s partner charities; Children’s Hospice South West, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Julian House and Alright Mate?.
