Lovers of the spectacular annual display of bluebells at Holyford Woods near Colyford will be delighted to hear that Bluebell Day is back, thanks to Mr and Mrs Elsey at Holyford Farm.

The celebration of the woods will take place on Sunday 3 May, and will begin at 6am with a Dawn Chorus walk starting from the car park at the top of Seaton Down Hill, near Tower Services.

Other activities during the day will run between 11am and 4pm at Holyford Farm, and will include guided walks, wildlife activities, craft and plant stalls and delicious cream teas on the lawn.

This free entry event is organised jointly by the East Devon District Council’s Countryside team and Holyford Woodland Trust.

Please note, there is no vehicular access or parking at Holyford Farm so please use the free parking and all-day shuttle bus from Colyford Memorial Hall –the first bus leaves at 10.30am.
