'Tis the season to be jolly at Exeter care home
Barchester’s Cumberland Grange care home, in Exeter, got in the Christmas spirit by throwing a Christmas party for residents and their friends and families.
Cumberland Grange’s Christmas party was in full swing (literally) as they were joined by Swing Exe, a local swing dancing group who got the party started. They had residents and their families up on their feet dancing to some wonderful classical tunes. Timescales singing duo then took over with some amazing singing and they also threw in a Christmas quiz with a box of chocolates up for grabs. To help with all of the dancing and singing, the Chefs at Cumberland Grange prepared a Christmas feast of festive foods.
General Manager, Marc said: “Christmas is a very special time of the year so having a calendar full of fun, festive events and activities is something we will always offer to spread lots of love and cheer throughout our home. Having a Christmas party to celebrate with our residents, their friends and family means a lot to us all. It brings people together! We had such an amazing time, lots of smiles all round.”
Diana, resident at Cumberland Grange said: “I enjoyed every minute”, when asked if she had a good time at the Christmas Party.
