Trust to hold two nurse open days in October

THE NHS Trust that manages Exeter Community Hospital and local community health and social care teams is aiming to recruit more nurses when it holds two open days in October.

The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for experienced and newly-qualified nurses to work across its acute and community services.

There are a number of opportunities to work at community hospitals and in the community teams that support up to 7,000 patients in their own homes, as well as at North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple.

The open days take place at NDDH on Monday 5 October and at Tiverton and District Hospital on Friday 16 October, both from 10am to 3pm.

People attending can meet clinical, recruitment and workforce development staff, have a tour of the hospital, find out about rotational posts and have an interview on the day.

Darryn Allcorn, director of workforce and development, said: “We have a wide range of opportunities for experienced nurses seeking a new challenge, those looking to return to practice and students due to qualify from university in the near future.

“The open days will offer a great chance for candidates and ourselves to learn more about each other.
