Update: A38 re-opened after armed police incident

Update: Police have confrimed they have detained a man in Tideford after reports he was armed and making threats.

The A38, which was closed as a precaution, is now open.

Police say there is no danger to public.

Armed Police are in attendence at an incident which has caused delays on a section of the A38 between Trerulefoot and Tideford .

Police were called to the scene just before 9:15 this morning (8 May) after reports of a man and a woman making threats.

A section of road around the incident has been closed and traffic jams have formed on the A38.

Police have asked that the public approach with caution at a reduced speed.

Update: The A38 is closed from Landrake through to Trerulefoot

The incident is still ongoing.
