The winners of a Walking Rugby Festival in Devon have been awarded their trophies from one of the tournament sponsors, McCarthy Stone, the developer behind the Pym Court Retirement Living Plus development in Topsham.

The Devon Walking Rugby Festival took place at Topsham Rugby Club, with Dartmouth RFC winning the Cup, and Exeter Saracens RFC being awarded the Plate, having seen off competition from a number of teams from across the South-West.

The two teams visited Pym Court to receive their accolades before enjoying a complimentary lunch at the on-site bistro courtesy of McCarthy Stone and taking a tour of the communal areas at the development, including a communal lounge and attractive landscaped gardens.

Nicki Beswarick, Divisional Marketing Manager at McCarthy Stone Southern, commented: “As a company we are always eager to play a part in the broader local communities near to our developments, and initiatives such as the Walking Rugby Festival allow us to do just that, so we were absolutely delighted to be one of the sponsors.

“We would like to offer our congratulations to all those who took part in the competition, but especially the two winning teams, Dartmouth RFC and Exeter Saracens RFC. It was a pleasure to welcome them to Pym Court to present them with their trophies, enjoy a spot of lunch and showcase the fantastic facilities we have on offer at the development.”

John Carroll of Topsham Walking Rugby added: “Walking Rugby has been proven to help older people with their physical and mental welfare by encouraging activity and socialising, so we are incredibly grateful to McCarthy Stone for sponsoring the event. We hope we can continue this partnership again in the future.”

The Pym Court Retirement Living Plus development has been exclusively designed for the over 70s.

Available at Pym Court is a stylish and welcoming communal lounge, perfect for socialising with new neighbours, landscaped gardens maintained by McCarthy Stone’s team, and a handy guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.

For those who may require a little additional help, Pym Court also has an on-site Estate Manager, while an experienced team are on hand day and night to oversee the running of the development, and to provide tailored domestic support packages to suit individual needs. The development also features its own bistro style restaurant serving delicious, freshly prepared meals every day, while secure entry systems and 24-hour emergency call points are provided for added peace-of-mind.

With over 70 per cent of the apartments now sold off-plan at Pym Court, McCarthy Stone is encouraging anyone interested to get in touch with the team to avoid disappointment. Prices currently start from £269,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £453,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. What’s more, reserve by 28 February 2023, and McCarthy Stone give you £10,000* off the purchase price to help with the rising cost of living. In addition, rental and part-buy part-rent options are also available to make moving even easier.

More than nine out of 10 customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation. McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this rating every year we have taken part in the survey.
