After a perishing spell of winter weather, thermeometers are forecast to hit double figures this week.
The Met Office is predicting more spring-like weather however, we are unlikely to see a great deal of sun with rain expected on Thursday.
A Met office forecaster said tthe warmer temperatures are not unusual for this time of year.
She added: "it will just be a welcome change after the last couple of weeks which have been below average."
Forecast for Monday:
Cloud breaking in many areas through the morning, giving most places a fine, dry afternoon with spells of sunshine. Less cold than recently, but quite windy along the south coast. Maximum Temperature 9 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Bright and breezy on Tuesday with further sunny spells, probably clouding over later. Thereafter, more unsettled with brisk southeasterly winds and spells of rain, perhaps heavy at times on Thursday.
