Spring has arrived at RHS Rosemoor, signalled by the appearance of large drifts of delicate snowdrops throughout the gorgeous gardens. In celebration, you can join an expert on a special walk every day at noon from 1–11 February. Booking is not required but places are limited and are offered on a first-come basis.
Before you know it the school holidays will be upon us – but have no fear, there is plenty of February Half Term fun planned for families to enjoy, no matter what the weather!
From 10 – 18 February children of all ages can follow an exciting ‘explorer’ trail that signposts spring flowers and growth in different parts of the garden.
On weekdays (Monday 12 – Friday 16 February) kids can also join in free, drop-in planting sessions, scheduled between 10.30am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 3.45pm in the Learning Centre overlooking the lower woodlands. These interactive workshops include activities such as nature art, pea planting, making a herb bird or a paper plate garden, and growing your own Marimo pet. They are the perfect way to occupy children of 4 years or over (although they must be accompanied by an adult).
Get ready to be thoroughly entertained too as the Garden has got some special guests appearing this Half Term.
Join Magic Luke at 11am, 12 noon or 2pm on Thursday 15 February for an interactive and energetic magic show, filled with fun and silliness to amuse all ages. (£3 per child; must be accompanied by an adult).
