Weather update for Exeter and surrounding area

The Met Office is predicting the current light but persistent snow falling in Exeter will gradually change to sleet and then light rain later this afternoon.

A379 Bridge Road in Countess Wear is partially blocked with queueing traffic in both directions at the Glasshouse Lane junction, because of an accident.

There is currently queueing traffic and hazardous driving conditions on the A35 in both directions between the A35 King's Road junction in Honiton and the B3261 junction in Axminster.

Hazardous driving conditions are also reported on the M5, where there is a lane blocked in both directions in Cullompton at J28, A373 (Cullompton Services), because of snow.

There is slow traffic and a lane closed on A380 Telegraph Hill in both directions in Ashcombe at the B3192 junction, because of snow.

Hazardous driving conditions are also reported on many roads around the Dartmoor junction, because of ice and snow.

Take care when driving on the B3192 Exeter Road, as there are hazardous conditions in both directions between the A379 junction in Teignmouth and the A380 Telegraph Hill junction in Ashcombe.
