Win a £50 Golden Carrot goody bag at The Donkey Sanctuary
To celebrate winning a Gold award in the 2018 Devon Tourism Awards, The Donkey Sanctuary are offering visitors the chance to pick up a free goody bag worth £50 at their Sidmouth centre.
Every day, between Wednesday 26 December and Sunday 6 January, a Golden Carrot will be hung from the Christmas tree in the main reception area. The first person to find the carrot and take it to the gift shop wins the day’s goody bag.
The international animal welfare charity won the Gold award in the ‘Large Attraction of the Year’ category at the prestigious 2018 Devon Tourism Awards in November.
The Donkey Sanctuary will be open throughout the Christmas and New Year period and is the ideal place to get out and about over the festive holidays. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the sanctuary with Walter’s Winter Checklist. They will be able to find out what special treatments Walter and his friends need during the winter to keep them healthy and happy. The trail runs right through the winter and trail sheets cost £3 each which include a prize and certificate when completed.
The Kitchen restaurant will be open throughout the winter except Christmas Day providing the perfect place to warm up and enjoy a delicious meal of locally sourced food. For those who enjoy a Sunday roast, The Kitchen offers Devon’s finest cuts of meat or a vegetarian/vegan special served from sharing boards with all the trimmings. Served between 12 - 2pm every Sunday, booking is recommended.
