An international jobs fair – the first of its kind in the South West - is due to take place in Exeter on 26 March.

‘The World of Jobs” at the Corn Exchange, Exeter will show-case jobs from around the world. It is aimed at people of all ages who want to find out more about working abroad or elsewhere in the UK and will be hosted by the European Employment Service (EURES) and Jobcentre Plus, Devon Cornwall and Somerset. It is part funded by the European Commission.

Between 10am and 3pm anyone attending will be able to meet employers, apply for jobs and speak to expert advisers about living and working in other countries as well as elsewhere in the UK. Employers will be attending from sectors including construction; engineering, care; security; leisure and tourism and mechanical. As well as the UK, employers involved are from countries as far apart as France and New Zealand, and more are signing up every week. .

Representatives from various organisations will also be advising on graduate internships, volunteering, and CV writing. And an IT suite will be available for job search and applications, with experts on hand to help out.

Ann Oliver, Senior Employment Engagement Manager for Jobcentre Plus Devon Cornwall and Somerset said, “This event is all about labour mobility and raising awareness of the vast range of opportunities to work in Exeter, the UK and the world! It is a great way for jobseekers, graduates and school leavers to broaden their horizons. There is no charge for entry and anyone can attend.”
