Edenstone and LiveWest start work on £30million housing scheme in Exeter

WORK is underway to create 93 new homes in Exeter which will bring more than £1.5 million in vital community investment.

Under a joint venture, Edenstone Group and the largest housing association in the South West, LiveWest , will build 61 private sale properties and 32 affordable homes across circa 10 acres of a 32-acre site off Spruce Close and Celia Crescent, Beacon Heath.

Exeter-based charity Julian House unveiled its Christmas tree in Princesshay last week, decorated with handmade baubles created by students from Petroc’s Tiverton campus.

The Christmas Tree showcases the talents of Petroc students Harvey Hogan, Harvey Butler and Connor Pearce, under the guidance of their lecturer, Roger Edgecombe.

A cat centre in Clyst Honiton is marking the first anniversary of its move to state-of-the-art facilities which have allowed the team to help over 500 cats since opening.

Iron Bridge in Exeter to be refurbished

The 190-year-old Iron Bridge in Exeter will be closed for essential maintenance at the start of next year.

The Grade II listed structure needs to undergo structural repairs, drainage improvements, replacement of expansion joints, waterproofing of the bridge deck, resurfacing and upgrades to signs and lighting.
