Devon and Cornwall Police praise City & Argyle supporters for their behaviour at Saturday's derby clash
Devon and Cornwall Police have taken to Twitter to thank both sets of supporters from Saturday’s local derby clash between Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle at St James Park for their part in a day that they have described as ‘largely peaceful’.
The Police were on high-alert throughout the build up to Saturday’s game deploying six police support units, four horses, a dog support unit and air support.
Devon and Cornwall Police have praised both sets of supporters for their compliance with police instructions and for their behaviour on the day despite visitors Argyle going down 3-1 to the Grecians.
Just three arrests were made - two for minor public order offences and one in relation to the alcohol at sporting events legislation.
