Exeter City boss leads Trust membership drive
Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale is leading the drive to recruit new members to the Exeter City Supporters’ Trust – by renewing his own membership.
Paul, who is pictured wearing his Trust t-shirt, spoke of his pride at working for a Trust-owned club and outlined how pleased he is that the Trust is working so well with the football club.
Paul commented: “This vision, which is closely aligned to the club’s strategic plan and its ambition for Championship football reflects our desire to be a Supporters’ Trust-owned club, a financially stable club, and a club that is at the heart of the community.”
Tisdale is urging supporters, who haven’t signed-up to the Trust to follow his lead, by being part of the ‘We own our Football club’ ethos. He continued: “The idea that we own our club is unique. It brings a collective group of people together that care for Exeter City – myself included.
“I would encourage all supporters to either join the Trust or renew their membership like me, because this is a chance to become part of the clubs future and help the team achieve success on and off the field.”
Our club’s Supporters’ Trust currently boasts some 4000 members, and the City boss is keen to see the ranks of the Trust membership grow. Tisdale said: “The Trust is vital in terms of the security and future of Exeter City Football Club.
“I believe that the trust brings stability which allows the club to move forward as one. A Supporters’ Trust-run club brings decisions to those who have the clubs best interests at heart – the supporters.”
The Exeter City Supporters’' Trust has contributed over £1,500,000 to Exeter City since the taking over ownership of the club in 2003. At present, the Trust contributes on average £110,000 a year to the football club, with much of this money going towards the club’s pursuit of success on the pitch.
The best way you can support Paul Tisdale and his players is by signing-up to the Supporters’ Trust and supporting the team on a match day. You can join the Trust at the Trust stall in Red Square, or by signing up in the main club reception. Details of how to join online are also available at www.ecfcst.org.uk/join.
