Lions tour is a dream come true says Nowell
Exeter Chiefs star Jack Nowell has confessed that playing for the British and Irish Lions, in New Zealand, is a dream come true.
The 24-year-old will get his second outing in the famous red jersey after he was named in their starting line-up for their latest tour clash against the Highlanders on Tuesday.
The England international suffered defeat on his debut for Warren Gatland’s side against the Blues last week, but he will get his chance to impress once more in a back three combination that also includes Scotland winger Tommy Seymour and Irish full-back Jared Payne.
Fresh from inflicting a first defeat of the season on the star-studded Crusaders, the Lions will be looking to keep up their momentum ahead of next weekend’s testing encounter against the New Zealand Maoris.
In an interview before he left for New Zealand, Jack said: “Not many people get the opportunity to go on a Lions tour and if this is my only one, New Zealand is the place I would want to go.
“There are so many tours out there but, if I had to pick one, New Zealand would be the first on my list.”
Jack said pulling on the red Lions jersey was “every rugby player’s dream.”
