Preview - Plymouth Argyle v Exeter City
This time last season when these two sides met on the 30th March at Home Park it was the Green half of Devon who claimed the bragging rights after beating the Grecians by a goal to nil. At that time it was roles reversed in the league as City were in the play off pack and Argyle were amongst the relegation candidates. It is completely the opposite now as Exeter sit 17th and their neighbours in 9th.
The city faithful will go into this derby fixture buoyed by their teams battering of the Cod army (Fleetwood) 3-0 on Saturday. Even so, Plymouth haven't been bad recently either, picking up some impressive wins of late, particularly their 2-1 triumph over former league leaders Chesterfield.
In a game like this though, form tends to go out of the window and it all comes down to who wants it more on the day, or night in this case. I'll be one of the 700 or so making the trip West to hopefully see my team grab all three points but more importantly bragging rights!
