Leading South West law firm, Stephens Scown LLP, is proud to be shortlisted in three awards: one regional and two national.

The most important, due to their Cornish roots and Cornish focus, is the Cornwall Business Awards 2013, where Stephens Scown has been shortlisted within the Customer Focus category. This award is for the organisation which demonstrates it has the customer at the heart of its business. Winners are due to be announced at an awards ceremony on the 16th May at the St Mellion Resort.

Managing Partner Robert Camp has a clear vision for the firm: “At our heart is one simple commitment: to provide excellent client service and I am proud that we have been shortlisted in this very important award, not just for the firm but for all of our staff who work so hard to please our clients.”

He continues: “As the largest law firm in Cornwall, we take a totally fresh approach to client service, employing some of the techniques and strategies that you would expect big brand shops and restaurants to use. We don’t just pay lip service to the idea of excellent client service, we listen to what our clients want and are changing as a result – we know it is early days and we still have lots to do, but with firms living and dying by their reputation, we know how important it is to continually re-evaluate where we stand and how our clients view we are doing. Our strategy is simple: keeping client service at the heart of every decision we make.”

Another important focus for Stephens Scown is their continued commitment to Cornwall – their home since the firm was established in 1938. While other firms are expanding outside the region, they are investing here, just completing a £1.2 million redevelopment of their St Austell office.

Stephens Scown has also been shortlisted within the Marketing Society Awards for Excellence 2013, to be announced on 10 June and in the 2Degrees Sustainability Champions Awards 2013, to be announced on 10 July.

Stephens Scown has over 40 partners and 230 staff across its offices in Truro, St Austell and Exeter. For more information visit www.stephens-scown.co.uk
