Exeter School welcomed England and GB Hockey player and Olympian, Simon Mantell on Tuesday 8 September.

Having lived in the South West for much of his school life, Simon has gone on to become one of England's greatest hockey star forwards, receiving over 50 Great Britain caps while playing in all of the major international tournaments.

Simon spent time coaching pupils during Junior School games as well as U13 girls' hockey players. He also spoke at length to our A Level Sports Studies group who were able to question him about his elite pathway into professional sport and his successful career to date.

Graham Skinner, Hockey Development Coach, said: "The pupils were delighted to have the opportunity to receive some expert coaching from such an experienced international player."
