
Bishop of Thika to retire this month
The Provost of All Saints Cathedral, the Very Venerable Julius Njuguna Wanyoike is the Bishop Elect of Thika, following elections that were held at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Thika, Kenya.
The Very Rev Julius will now be referred to as Bishop Elect until September when he will be consecrated and enthroned by the Archbishop of Kenya.
He becomes the second Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Thika.
The Diocese of Thika is linked with the Exeter Diocese and the Archdeacon of Exeter, the Venerable Christopher Futcher and his wife Anne will be attending this ceremony and hope to stay on for the retirement service for the First Bishop Of Thika the Rt Rev Dr Gideon Githiga which will be held on 25 August 2013.
Bishop Elect Julius Bishop Elect is married to Esther and together they have three girls.
