Crash leaves woman with life-threatening injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash that left a 20-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened at approximately 8.25pm on Monday 8th October on the A390 Grenville Road near Lostwithiel.

The vehicle, a green Fiat Punto, lost control on a right hand bend, crossed the carriageway and left the road colliding with a tree. 

As a result of this collision the driver of the Fiat Punto, a woman from the Looe area, received serious life threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

A specialist forensic investigation of the scene took place and police from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them on 101 quoting log number 752 of 8 October 2012.
