Police investigate fatal crash in Falmouth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash in Falmouth.

The accident happpened at 1125am yesterday on the A394 between Treliever roundabout and Longdowns near Penryn.

A Black Volkswagen Bora travelling towards Treliever was in collision with a Leyland DAF lorry travelling in the opposite direction.

The female driver of the VW Bora was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The weather at the time was described as good visibility with low cloud and wet roads, but it was not raining at the time.

A full investigation into the circumstances of the collision is being undertaken by officers from the serious collisions investigation unit at Camborne Police station.

 Any witnesses to the incident and in particular a gold coloured car that was travelling towards Treliever roundabout at the time are asked to contact the police on 101 quoting police reference 0256 of 081012.
