Multiple casualties at Richmond banquet hall shooting

Multiple casualties have been reported at a shooting incident in Richmond, Canada. At least four people have reportedly been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The incident is reported to have taken place at the Riverside Banquet Hall and to have been carried out by a single gunman.

Emergency services are attending the scene, and paramedics are treating those who may have been injured.

Eye witnesses also reported a police helicopter hovering overhead.

A local Vancouver journalist has reported that the site of the shooting is the same Richmond hall where gangster Kuljit "Kelly" Buttar was shot to death on 12/22/01 and three people were wounded, during a wedding banquet. (NewsPoint)
