Powerful explosion hits building in Prague, at least 40 injured
Police say a powerful explosion occurred in central Prague, injuring at least 40 people, including four seriously, local media reported on Monday.
The explosion took place in a building on Divadelni Street, close to the National Theatre.
The area around the explosion has been sealed off by police. Up to 400 people have been evacuated, according to local media.
Three people are believed to be trapped under the rubble.
A police spokesman said the explosion was probably caused by natural gas and that there had been around 15 people in the building, which included an office of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and an art gallery. (NewsPoint)
