Search continues for missing Exeter pensioner Alma Royle

This morning, 31 July, a large group of police officers were deployed to the St Thomas area of Exeter to continue the search for missing Exeter pensioner Alma Royle, aged 83. Police were tasked with carrying out an extended search of the area 1km from where she went missing in Heron Way, St Thomas. They are set to continue for the remainder of the day, with members of the Dartmoor Rescue Group continuing to assist with evening searches.

Alma was last seen on Friday 26 July leaving the Co-op store on Dunsford Road at approximately 4.30pm. Police have since released CCTV images from within the store showing Alma dressed in a red long-sleeved top/jacket, black knee-length skirt and black shoes. Relatives have also provided a recent photo of Alma to help in locating her.

She is described as white, approximately 5ft 5in tall, of proportionate build and with white/grey hair.
