Boosting tourism the focus for new PR and marketing partners
The Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership has announced that Astley Media and Rokk Media have been appointed to assist in the promotion of the Heart of Devon locally, regionally and nationally.
The partnership is responsible for promoting the areas of East Devon, Exeter, Mid Devon and parts of South Devon. It acts as a voice for tourism and aims to increase the number of visitors to the Heart of Devon, by promoting the area as a year round visitor destination for leisure tourists, business tourism and groups.
Astley Media will focus on public relations and offline marketing services, with Rokk Media providing online marketing services.
Derek Phillips, chair of the Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership, said: "As a partnership we're really focused on showcasing the Heart of Devon. Astley Media and Rokk Media are two very well respected companies based in the Heart of Devon with a vast amount of knowledge, skills, experience and contacts in the tourism and hospitality sectors locally, regionally and nationally.
“We are looking forward to working with them both on developing and promoting the Heart of Devon as the premier day visitor and short break destination."

Key aspects of the work will include:
• Promoting the Heart of Devon as a year round destination for visitors; including leisure, groups and business tourism - day visits and overnight stays
• Raising awareness of the Heart of Devon name, individual destinations and events within the Heart of Devon
• Driving traffic to the Heart of Devon website www.heartofdevon.com
• Promoting the activities of Heart of Devon to local businesses, encouraging membership take up
• Social media and Heart of Devon e-newsletter.
