Exeter Eagles see no post-Olympic progress
By Ian Bond
One of Exeter's only basketball teams have not been wallowing in a pool of post-Olympic feelgood factor as some other sports have.
We found out that their funding and indeed participating players had seen no increase so far this year.
However Des Kumar, who founded the Eagles 14 years ago, says the sport is popular in the city:
"The other sports are used to receiving a lot of money. We're not used to receiving much money but there's a huge demand for basketball."
There is also a big crossover in the kids who turn up to their training sessions which are for junior boys and girls as well as a senior women's team.
