The owners of a missing greyhound called Rosie have issued a desperate appeal for help in finding her.

Rosie has captured the hearts of nations, from South Africa, Canada and the USA to Britain, with the social networking site twitter buzzing with messages of support.

She has been missing for a week and her owners are desperate to find her.

They have even recruited the services of a special tracking dog in their hunt.

Rosie is a very pretty greyhound with distinct dark stripes in her orange/brown coat. A reward is being offered for information that leads to her safe return.

She went missing on 24th October in the Plantation Woods, between Liverton and Heathfield.

The most recent sighting was on Monday 28th October, in New Park, Bovey Tracey. She is friendly but very timid so if you spot her please call her owner Caroline Woffindale on 077988 875881 or 07888 717031/07769 978317, making a note of when and where you were when you saw her.

Caroline has called on the assistance a tracking beagle named Tiga. He is trained to track other dogs by his owner Jenny Brown, who has travelled all the way from Kent to help find Rosie.

Locals, farmers and businesses have all been amazing, searching, leafleting and tweeting to help reunite this much loved girl with her family.
