Petal Power at Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum
Petal Power features the work of women employed by the Silver Studio of Design in London between 1910 and 1940.
The hand drawn and painted textile designs produced by the Studio’s women designers map the floral trends of the inter war period in England when floral dresses were stylish, fashionable and affordable.
The Silver Studio was one of the most influential design studios in the UK from its formation in 1880 until the middle of the twentieth century, designing fabrics, wallpapers, carpets and metalwork for companies such as Liberty’s, Sanderson and Warner.
