Last Wednesday Series:

A series of artists’ talks in association with Exeter College’s Centre for Creative Industries. Limited places available to the public.

Marcus Davies is a photographer who is as happy in portrait or landscape as he is in the abstract.  Colour and form are primal considerations.  He also happily acknowledges and researches the skill and techniques of the old world be it with games postcards or photographs.

Photographer Marcus Davies will speak about the famous John Hinde technicolour postcards and his possibly futile attempt to collect them all. He will also talk about The John Hinde Collection a company that he set up with Michelle Abadie to share these images with the world. The John Hinde Collection has been entrusted with digitally restoring some of the original 1960′s transparencies, and this work can be seen at www.johnhindecollection.com
