Spectacular Supacat at Devon’s Crealy
A spectacular Supacat Jackal military vehicle will be on display at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park as part of the RNLI’s Supacat to Station cycle on Saturday 25th January, which will mark the charity’s annual SOS Day.
A team of six RNLI crew members will take a well needed rest from the cycle at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park at 1.30 pm. The Supacat and RNLI roadshow vehicle will be available throughout the day for visitors to explore, offering an exclusive opportunity to get up close to an interesting feat of military engineering and to learn about the charity’s crucial lifesaving work.
Chris Down, Managing Director of Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park said: “We fully support the RNLI in their Six on Saddles cycle as they are raising money for such an excellent cause. We’re looking forward to being part of the day and encourage guests to take advantage of this unique opportunity.”
The six volunteers are riding for 30 miles from Supacat in Dunkeswell to the RNLI lifeboat station in Exmouth, stopping at Honiton, Otter Nurseries Garden Centre, Ottery St Mary and Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park along the way.
Max Champion, RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew said: “The team are raising funds toward the launch and recovery vehicle specifically designed by Supacat to launch Exmouth’s new Shannon class lifeboat which is due to arrive at the station in 2014.”
”In Exmouth we are in a unique position being so close to Supacat in Dunkeswell, so it’s a perfect place to start our cycle. We’re very much looking forward to stopping off at all the locations along the route, both for a much needed rest and to thank everyone who has generously supported us.”
