The Carphone Warehouse in Tiverton has offered a £500 reward for information after a large number of phones were taken during a burglary last week.

The store in Tiverton’s Fore Street, was targeted by thieves in the early hours of Thursday 23 January 2014.

The thieves broke into an empty property above the shop and before breaking through the floor into offices below.

Carphone Warehouse is offering the reward for information that leads to the conviction of those responsible for the theft of the phones, worth £3,500.

Detective Constable Rachel Cole, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to bring to justice those responsible for this and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“We are pleased that Carphone Warehouse has agreed to offer up this reward.

“We are following up a number of enquiries and would ask anyone who is offered a mobile phone in the next couple of weeks to call the police to ensure they are not in possession of stolen goods.”

Anyone with information is asked to call DC Cole, based at Tiverton police station, on 101 quoting KT/14/132, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
