Crealy donates to Families for Children
Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park is thrilled to announce their continued support for local charity Families for Children. As part of the renewed charity partnership, Devon’s Crealy has generously donated £10,000 worth of family passes to adoptive families across the region, helping children of all ages enjoy a fantastic and memorable day out.
Families for Children are a specialist adoption agency based in Devon providing advice and support for those who are considering adoption.
Chris Down, Managing Director of Crealy Great Adventure Parks said, “We’re delighted to be able to continue to support Families for Children and welcome them to visit the Park. We’re looking forward to continue to build on the success of the past year.”
David Lawrence Jones, Vice Patron of Families for Children launched his new children’s picture book at Devon’s Crealy on Tuesday 15th April 2014 of which the storyline is based on the delicate subject of adoption. David Lawrence Jones was inspired by the ‘jigsaw’ design of the charity’s logo to create two colourful new characters for the starring roles in his rhyming prose.
Jig and Saw are part of the same puzzle that live in a very unhappy place. The jigsaw pieces depict a brother and sister who are placed for adoption. The first book in the series follows the brave children on an incredible journey to find a loving family in a new home and a puzzle that fits their jigsaw pieces.
Ally Colton, Fundraiser for Families for Children said: "The relationship with Crealy has been fantastic and we are so happy we are able to continue it. It’s the perfect venue for families and a great meeting places for siblings that have been adopted into different families to meet up and enjoy a day out together.”
