So many cats so few homes... can you help?
At Axhayes Adoption Centre they have around 130 cats in care at the moment and more waiting to come in.
They need more cat-loving people who could offer them a home.
The centre is situated at Cats Protection, Little Hill Cottage, Clyst Honiton, Exete EX5 2HS and is open between 11am and 3pm every day bar Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, so why not come and meet the lovely cats today!
Here are some of the cats that are looking for new homes:
Duke
Five-year-old male white andf ginger Persian cat
Meet Duke, our loveable Persian boy who is looking for a new home where he will be spoilt rotten. He has a new funky hair cut as his fur was so matted and dirty when he came to us; the vet had no choice but to shave it off. In a couple of months his fur will grow back and he will look fluffy and handsome once again. He’s very friendly, playful and loves attention; he would really like a home with someone will be around all of time to keep him company. If you are looking for a fabulous companion and have experience keeping Persian cats, then Duke is the cat for you!
Iris
Nine-month-old female tortoiseshell and white kitten
Meet Iris! She’s fun, adorable, cheeky and full of energy – she could play for hours! She’s a sweet girl who was very shy when she first came here, after some confid...ence building from our girls who work here; she’s now very friendly and loves attention. She has only one eye bless her, that doesn’t stop her from playing! She’s great with other cats and dogs too; she’ll make a great best friend for your cat. She would like a new home with people who will give her the time she’ll need to settle in. She would need a home in a safe area away from busy roads as she is not used to traffic. Ivor and Ernie
Six-year-old and two-year-old male tabby cats
Ivor and his friend Ernie are in search of a new home. They are sweet chaps who have not had the luckiest of lives so far. They have lived in the countryside so they will need to home away from busy roads and a nice garden to enjoy the great outdoors. These stunning tabby cats are now in the prime of life and are hoping their luck will change and they will find the best home ever.
Murray

Could this handsome boy be your number one champion this year? Murray is a smashing chap who is looking for someone to give him a forever home. He's looking for a nice green Murray hill of his own. Whiskers and Tilly
Seven-year-old female black and white cats
These stunningly beautiful ladies were reluctantly surrendered by their owner when time ran out looking for accommodation that would allow them to be kept. They are looking for a new abode together with a nice safe garden to go out in, as they love the great outdoors. They are sweet gentle cats that are loving and appreciative of peaceful surroundings. If these ladies sound like the cats for you, please don’t pass them by.
Elfride
Twelve-year-old female black cat
Elfride is a very sweet lady who was brought to us as a stray. She is a bit timid, but likes company and being made a fuss of. She is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy the quiet life. If you can give Elfride the loving home she needs, please ask us about her today.
