Through our colour vision we understand our world. It warns us of danger, makes objects quickly recognisable, and helps us to store and retrieve precious memories.
From the earliest cave paintings we have learned to express our feelings and share our thoughts with each other through colour. Colour photography was first developed during the 1860s but it had to wait until the middle of the 20th century before the general public had easy access.
This exhibition brings together a full spectrum of colour images from all aspects of our lives.
‘A Splash Of Colour’ is a touring photographic exhibition created and supported by The Photographic Angle.
