Devon took home the honours in a thrilling football match with Cornwall at the Stephens Scown Inter-County Shield. In a reversal of the 2013 result, the Devon team won 5-4.

The annual match, which is organised by leading South West law firm Stephens Scown LLP, took place at Launceston FC on Friday, 9 May. As well as players from Stephens Scown’s offices in Exeter, St Austell and Truro, the teams included representatives from over twenty local businesses including Worldwide Financial Planning, Kalsall Steele, Barclays Bank, HSBC and Francis Clark.

One of the event organisers, Justin Butt, a solicitor from the renewable energy team at Stephens Scown in Exeter said: “It was a fantastic match, played in great spirits. We were delighted to have so many local businesses represented. This is a fun way for us to get together out of the office and we are already looking forward to a re-match in 2015!”
